How is my scrap vehicle quote calculated?
The registration, make and model, completeness, condition, collection location and current material values all contribute. Tell us about missing parts or access problems so the quote is based on accurate information.
Can you collect a non-running vehicle?
Often, yes. Tell us whether it has keys, rolls, steers and has all wheels fitted. Also describe narrow access, height restrictions or soft ground.
Do I need the V5C logbook?
Contact us if the V5C is missing. A vehicle may still be accepted in some circumstances, but identity and ownership checks remain necessary and you must follow DVLA requirements.
What identification should I bring?
A valid UK photocard driving licence can usually verify name and address. Otherwise bring accepted photo ID plus a recent bank statement, council tax statement or permitted utility bill. Ask us before travelling if unsure.
Can you pay cash?
No. Cash payments for scrap metal are prohibited. Payment must be made using a permitted traceable method.
Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Eligible complete end-of-life vehicles processed through the authorised route can receive the appropriate DVLA Certificate of Destruction. Our team will confirm eligibility.
Do I need to remove personal belongings?
Yes. Check the glovebox, boot, door pockets, under seats and any fitted media devices before collection or drop-off.
