The process
Responsible end-of-life treatment
End-of-life vehicles contain oils, fuel, batteries, refrigerants and other materials that must be handled correctly. At an authorised facility the vehicle can be depolluted before parts and recyclable materials are recovered.
- Reception and checks. We verify identity, record the vehicle and complete the required handover information.
- Depollution. Fluids, battery and other controlled items are removed using the correct processes.
- Reuse. Suitable components may be carefully removed and offered as used parts.
- Material recovery. Remaining metals and materials enter appropriate recycling streams.
Certificate of Destruction
Eligible vehicles accepted as complete end-of-life vehicles can receive a Certificate of Destruction through the DVLA system. This is evidence that the vehicle has entered the authorised treatment process. Our team will explain eligibility and what you should do with the V5C.
